Sunday, August 28, 2005Sunday at Forbes... the last for the next 2 yearsToday marked the last day for memories at Forbes for the next 2 years. So we had a lunch there. Lots of food, as usual, since this family would never hold an event without a lot of food. After pigging out for a bit, we plunged on to the pool. It was fun being with all the cousins in the house that we love, in the pool that should have been there since 30 years ago. We spent the afternoon just lazing around in the pool, Regina teaching her Titas how to swim, Macie staring beadily at everyone in the water while she waded, Kuya Nicky nang-aasar, Kuya Manolo nagpapatawa, Kuya Dondi nambobola, Kuya Rocky taking pictures... And while the younger group wrapped up the time in the pool with one large Chowking halo-halo each, a walang kamatayang mahjong game went on with the older group, then poker for the boys. To conclude the day, we had one last round of pictures by the stairs, all the cousins, like old times, and played in the garden out front for one last time. That would be the last for the next 2 years.         
Sunday, August 21, 2005Regina's 8th Birthday After a lunch with Regina's friends in McDonald's to unlimited gameplay for 2 hours from the day before, Sunday lunch was at Southbay since today is Regina's real birthday. And since the Pascuals feed their guests like there's no tomorrow, Regina's handa was Yellow Cab pizza, spaghetti, KFC, and a yummy looking Kim Possible chocolate cake with marshmallow icing.While everyone partook of the sumptuous food, the Carlos girls were at a table in the living room eating veggies with pesto and brown rice since it was the last day of the 7-day diet while watching Regina savour her three-cheese pizza, which, sayang naman if we cheat on the last day. But it all works out for the best.
Sunday, August 07, 2005Nail Spa Day and Club UpdatesIt was another Sunday afternoon at the Nail Spa with Ate Pebs, Ate Boom and Regina. Another afternoon of pure relaxation. That was pretty much it. Notice that Kuya Dondi (Sunday Club President) has not been present since the previous how many entries. That's because he's been asleep, literally... so Vice President Caren has been taking over, thus, girlie-girl Sunday Club activities. It was also during this season that Regina (Sergeant-at-Arms) ALMOST ousted him from his position and seated the Vice President in his place instead, while Bam (P.R.O) almost seconded the motion because she hates the Nail Spa. But the Vice President had firm belief that the President need only open his eyes and all would be back on track. So Kuya Dondi is still the President of the Club. Wow! May politics din pala sa Sunday Club. Pauso pa ni Regina. - Caren
