One of those Tiendesitas Days

It was Nanay's birthday (as well as Ate Char's) so there was handa at Butterfly for lunch.

Nothing much here. No Wappy to join us either. It was just Kuya Dondi, Bam and I. We went around Tiendesitas and there wasn’t much to see yet except for some clothes and food. But we went around the pet area and checked out the dogs.

Sunday Club: Early Morning Edition

Yesterday, October 28, was Lolo and Lola’s anniversary so there was dinner in Butterfly that night. After all that food and dessert, Bam, Regina and I got ready to “go to sleep”. More like just changed into pantulog then got into Mama Vicky’s bed to "play". But then we had a surprise visit from Kuya Dondi, Wappy and Mike. And that was the beginning of the Sunday Club , early morning edition.

That was around 12:00 am when we left Butterfly to go to Metrowalk. You read right! WE including Regina. Bam and I even borrowed jackets from her. And we had permission from the Lolas who were still playing Mahjong at that hour.

In Metrowalk, we sat for about 2 hours or so in Gamefrog and played Warcraft… the whole time… while Regina played Neopets. Yun lang! At about 2:30, we had to scram or our necks get it from Lola Baby if she so much as gets a whiff of Regina out of the house at such an ungodly hour without her parents.

When we came home at around 3:00am the lolas were still playing mah-jhong!! And we kept talking about before we slept.

Trick or Treat at Valle 6

F.Y.I: Tito dondi was not with us IN THIS MEETING. Anyway I didn’t win any prize but macie won best in babies award and we went out to trick or treat macie changed into a fairy costume because she would get hot in her piglet costume and when we went to butterfly we ate the leftover treats t.c was in oishi pillows heaven!!! And then we went home with our memories of Halloween. ( and not to mention our treats.)

- Regina

This year's Halloween party was so chaotic that it was ok that we came late. It also didn't help much that, as usual, we were all being so competitive and eager to have at least one of our kids (Regina and Macie) win something. Fyi, Tita Bam was also absent in this event.

For the record, Regina won "Most Unique" costume in last year's Halloween party. This year, it was Macie's turn to win. Talk about lower self-esteem for the other babies present. Macie actually won the "Best in Babies" category, which makes her the BEST BABY. Also, we let everyone know (especially the home owners) that Regina and Macie were cousins since everyone just found both of them so sooo cute. So they kept getting given extra goodies.

Also, as Regina mentioned, it was pretty hot walking around the village so we spent most of our time trick or treating from the Venture, away from all the kids that followed the band. That gave us access to more houses than anyone else.

Above: Regina the witch and Macie Piglet with Tigger.

Left: There's Macie the fairy, Regina the witch, and T.C. pretending to be Strawberry Shortcake. And that silhoutte at the back is Yaya Lally pretending to be some crazy lady.

Old Girls' Day

It’s that time of the year again where the Assumption girls of all ages proudly bring out their school uniforms, wear them proudly, while singing the school song from the bottom of their hearts. This year, the Chan family came in full force to watch Tita Baby who was a Golden girl in the Velada. While everyone cheered, Tita Baby spent her time on stage concentrating on their dance and her Tai-chi sequence. Nagbibilang!

After all that, Tita Azon, Bam, Regina, and I, all in the good ol’ AC uniform, posed for a picture in front of the newly renovated Mother Rose Auditorium. That’s three generations of Assumption girls. All Hail to our beloved Assumption!

And speaking of which t.c decided everyone should wear assumption uniform not including the non-assumptionistas of course. And lola did tai-chi! Look in the earlier part. And well it was cool.

- Regina

Afterwhich, Kuya Dondi treated to Shinjuku. Wala lang, just to prolong the pagsasama. Then we went to UCC Podium for dessert. Had that chocolate cake and coffee. Yummy!!!

Blessing of Dasma

It was a whole day affair at the Dasma house, which began with lunch... Pinoy food of course. Then the swimming followed, while a never-ending game of mahjong for five went on simultaneously. For those who didn’t swim, create your own halo-halo was available for unlimited consumption. After the swimming, it was a game of poker for the boys, magic sing for the girls, and bubble blowing for the apos. And then it ended with eat all you can Mongolian for dinner.

Of course, how could I forget the main purpose of this event. THE BLESSING of the house, the reason why we had all that handa, took place somewhere in the middle of all that. Wappy, Bam, Crissy, Regina and I missed it because we left after lunch, before the swimming, to get Starbucks.

I remember that it was a particularly unique Sunday, not because of the typically fatty food and sort of sugal. It was enjoyable because even extended family were present at the gathering.
