Monday, June 12, 2006Welcome Matteo... Sleepover MacieIt's been a while since the Sunday Club had anything planned, but something unexpected came. It was a call from the newest member, Matteo, seconded by soon-to-be co-Sergeant-at-Arms, Macie.   On June 9, 2006, 6:41 pm, Matteo Benedicto Panutat Carlos was born into the world. At 6 lbs. 12 ounces, he already exhibits signs of being a takaw and antukin baby boy, but a good boy nonetheless. His name, Matteo, means "God's gift", and Benedicto means "blessed". When placed into context, it means "God's blessed gift". Almost everyone went to the hospital to see the brand new addition to the family. Ate Regina came to see her new cousin, and Ninong Dondi even brought a horse which Macie is perpetually borrowing from Matteo.   Meanwhile, another concern was brewing... how to make sure Macie doesn't get jealous and think that she has to compete for attention with her baby brother. So on Sunday, June 11, when Guami (Auntie Linda) took Macie to the hospital to see her parents and baby brother, everyone made sure she had a mega-welcoming committee. That did the trick. Macie loved Matteo instantly. To top it off, TC and Bam slept over at her house to make sure she had company and "playmates" through the night up to the next day.     Today, June 12, TC and Bam spent the morning playing and making surprise welcome home decorations with Macie. After Macie's siesta, Yaya dressed her up in her Classic Pooh dress to match Matteo and, along with Ninong Wesley, took her to the hospital to pick up her Mommy, Papa, and new baby brother. It was like a family reunion of sorts.
